Our Story

Esker Beer Co takes its name from the esker: a long, winding ridge shaped over millennia by meltwater rivers flowing on ancient glaciers - a weaving marker of nature’s enduring journeys.

Esker Beer Co began in 2010, when a local family with a love of good beer wanted to build something for the Hills - a proper brewery the community could call its own. Esker Beer Co grew out of that simple idea: fresh, honest beer made locally, for locals.

Formerly known as The Australian Brewery, Esker Beer Co was born in the Hills Shire in north‑west Sydney, on a site at Rouse Hill that once served as a key resting place on the journey from the first settlement in Sydney to the farms of the Hawkesbury.
